Summer Holidays
The English Library will stay open all summer. The newest beach reads and thrillers and our large children’s section will keep the whole family entertained. Please note our opening hours.
Covid Restrictions
As the Federal Council has decided to lift most Covid restrictions, you will no longer need a certificate to come to the library and wearing a mask is not mandatory any more.
Christmas opening hours
The library will close for the Holidays on Wednesday December 22nd 2021 at 11.30 and reopen on Monday January 3rd 2022 at 9.30. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Important COVID update
Following the decision of the Federal Council only visitors with a valid Covid certificate will be allowed to come into the library, i.e. you will have to have proof of a double vaccination, a negative test (no autotests are allowed) or of having recovered from Covid. No Summer Vacation for Us!
If once again you plan to spend your vacation on the sun lounger at home, we are going to be open at our normal hours all summer. We have plenty of new “beach reads”, literary fiction, non fiction and of course books to keep your children occupied!
Easter Holiday Closures
The Library will close for Easter on Saturday March 27th at 1 pm and reopen on Wednesday April 7th at 9.30 am Happy Easter to all!

Due to the restrictions because of the Covid-19 pandemic, libraries are allowed to open for loan services only.
